Payment Policy

After a confirmation email has been sent to you, you will also receive a Pay Pal money request (secure web transfer) for a deposit and later to pay the balance due. We require a 50% non-refundable deposit within 5 working days after having received the confirmation email. This is to secure the booking. After the deposit is paid, the balance is due no less than 4 weeks before the booking. For reservations made less than one month in advance, we require full payment (non-refundable). 

RETREAT CANCELLATIONS

It is the customer's responsibility to read and understand our cancellation policy before making a reservation.

ILW does not offer cash/check or credit card refunds for any reason. A portion of your payment may be used as credit for another retreat within one year of your original retreat date. However, we will gladly transfer your credit to another guest.

In the event of cancellation by the customer, regardless of the circumstances, the following refund fees, minus the deposit, apply. Depending on when you cancel, cancellation fees may apply. Fees are determined by the following schedule:

  • When canceling 60 days before your retreat start date, 75% of your payment may be applied to another ILW retreat.
  • When canceling 30-60 days before your retreat start date, 50% of your payment may be applied to another ILW retreat.
  • If you cancel 30 days or less before your retreat start date, you will forfeit your entire payment.

Exceptions to our policy cannot be made for any reason. We do not offer credit for arriving late or leaving early. You must submit your signed Participant Agreement form within one week of booking or 90 days prior to retreat start date, whichever comes first. Guests who fail to do so, may be subject to an automatic cancellation and the above policy will apply.

ILW SURF CAMP CANCELLATION POLICY

While we have never cancelled a retreat to date. If ILW must cancel or change a scheduled retreat date for any reason, you may transfer your full retreat payment to another retreat, or you may request a refund of your payments to us, constituting a full settlement. ILW is not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled retreat, such as airline tickets, loss of work, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.

Travel Cancellation Insurance

We understand that no one books with the intention of canceling or postponing their trip, but sometimes unexpected things might happen, which is why we highly recommend that you buy a travel cancellation insurance. Depending on the policy and conditions, travel cancellation insurance will pay for some or all cancellation fees. With most agencies, insurance must be purchased within 14 days of making your reservation.
